It was a great privilege this morning to be part of the St Johns services, both at 9am and 10:30am. The connection between the church and school is an essential part of our community vision for the future and I love the opportunity to share what is happening at school, but also to share in the vision that we believe God is calling us to.
What was very special today was the link between our services at church on Thursday, when we as a school celebrated the importance of God's light in our lives through our Lighthouse services and the opportunity to share the importance of the lighthouse with the wider church congregation.
It was also great to see one of our school members playing the drums as part of the worship band! I think we might need a set of drums for school based on the talent on show this morning!
In addition of course there was a slight matter of there needing to be a gunging. Thursday's service had seen a competition between Sami and I which ended up in both of us having to claim the prize of being gunged in the 10:30 service! And what a prize it was!
Thankfully we both came prepared, but still, it did seem that the gunge managed to get everywhere!
Strangely both children and parents seemed to enjoy the moment very much!
