In the life of Moses we see God enable a man lacking in self worth and confidence to deliver the people of Israel from slavery. Moses had many reasons to lack confidence and to fear a return to Egypt, but God provides for him in every way.
Today I reflected with KS2 on how surprises can be both wonderful and unnerving. For Moses the unexpected surprise was to see a burning bush in the middle of the desert, one that did not burn up and one that included the voice of God! This surprise led to a turn around in his life, he was no longer a fugitive, but a man given authority to do the work of God, even though it wasn't exactly his first choice of occupation!
Thankfully I have never seen a burning bush of this type, but I continue to be reminded by everyday occurrences of God's love and its endurance and that is something to give thanks for.
Give
thanks to the Lord for he is good
His love endures forever
Give thanks to the Lord for he brings light
His love endures forever
Give thanks to the Lord for his compassion and love
His Love endures forever
Give thanks to the Lord that we are His
His Love endures forever
His love endures forever
Give thanks to the Lord for he brings light
His love endures forever
Give thanks to the Lord for his compassion and love
His Love endures forever
Give thanks to the Lord that we are His
His Love endures forever
