Let your light shine
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am
the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but
will have the light of life."
And we too are called to be lights in this world, for a city
built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it
under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone
in the house.
Yes we too are lights in this world and God is calling us to
shine
To show love and compassion
To speak encouragement and bring words of hope
To reach out to those in need
To use the gifts and talents that He has given us
To celebrate the diversity that He has created
Yes God wants us to know who we are and what he wants us to
become
For He calls us to make a difference together
And as we shine
To know that He is always with us
Walking at our side
For we are His children
And He is calling us to shine.
