In the post today we received a thank you from a certain royal couple who class 1R had written to last year to congratulate them on the birth of Princess Charlotte. In addition we also received a certificate to thank us for the work that we had done in raising funds to support a distant English monarch.
Tomorrow we celebrate the fact that Queen Elizabeth, already the country's longest-living monarch and the world's oldest-serving sovereign, will at approximately 5.30pm on September 9th reach yet another milestone when she becomes Britain's longest reigning monarch, breaking Victoria's record of 63 years, seven months and two days on the throne.
