A time to remember November 10th
Today we gathered together as a school community to take the time to remember those who had fallen or served in combat. Specifically we remembered those who fell in World War one and World War two and whose names are written on the walls of St John's church.
We were very fortunate to have Mr K come and play the Last Post and Reveille for us either side of our one minute silence. This really brought home to us the significance of remembrance and how important it is that we never forget.
Classes from KS1 and KS2 led us in prayer and shared the bible story of Jesus and the last supper as we also remembered how God demonstrated His love for us through the symbolism of the bread and the wine.
This service is always a very special time, when the whole school and church community can join together to remember.
