Journeys

"Go in peace. The LORD is watching over the journey you are going on."

Judges 8:16

Words, pictures and songs for the journey

As we come to the end of another academic year, it seemed right for us as a school to consider the theme of journeys once again.

There are many things that we have experienced, celebrated and achieved together this year. All things that we should be thankful for and take time to reflect on and therefore this will be the focus of our assemblies over the coming weeks.

Part of journeying is about the fact that we do not journey alone, whether this be in a spiritual sense, or the people – our families, friends and colleagues – who we have journeyed with us.

Over the next few weeks we will be taking the time to reflect on the words, pictures and music that have been part of our journey, as well as considering some really important questions:

Who are we thankful for that has travelled with us?

What we have learnt and experienced that has enriched our lives?

What are the things that have changed us and made us stronger and more purposeful?

What successes do we need to celebrate?

What has God shown us of himself and taught us through the journey?

I wonder what our own personal reflections would be on these key questions?
