As we draw close to the end of this academic term we have
come to the end of our Easter journey. Today the children have actively
participated in this journey by ‘travelling’ back in time to meet characters
who played significant parts in the original Easter story. This
event has been organised by school staff with help from local churches and has
enabled the children to hear first-hand about what happened on Palm Sunday, at
the last supper, in the garden of Gethsemane and at the Cross. In addition we have also
gathered together in church to celebrate the resurrection part of the Easter
story and to give thanks for all the amazing things that the Easter story
teaches us about God’s love for us.
Many thanks to everyone who has helped to make this happen,
it is always one of the highlights of our school year.
