This week we will be considering how we show respect to those in authority - interestingly Paul in his letter to Timothy urges us to demonstrate our respect through prayer when he encourages us to pray for those in authority.
As we consider to reflect on the Lord's prayer as part of our theme of respect, we are reminded about how important and central prayer is in both our relationship with God, but also how central God makes it to our relationships with each other.
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness
