A message in a bottle
Great to visit year 6 today and to listen their work on Kensuke's Kingdom. They have been writing a 'message in a bottle' to send out to Michael's parents. They have very creatively turned these into the classic desert island message in a bottle - all that they need to do now is cast them out to sea!

The Queen's 90th Birthday
Today we gathered in church for a special service to mark the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth. We considered how faithfully she has served our country and learnt a little about her life.
We also took some time to explore what it might be like to be a king or a queen and to think about what service meant.
Our time of prayer and reflection focused us on being thankful for all that she has given to our country, but at the same time asking God to help us to be servants to other people as well.
Saffron Lane athletics
Today we competed in the City athletics competition down at Saffron lane in the glorious sunshine.
Great success in so many areas, with lots of medals and personal bests to be proud of.
A time to stop
As we started another busy week before the start of this half term we took some time to reflect on what we have recently enjoyed and experienced over the holiday.
I was struck by some thoughts shared the other day:
I was struck by some thoughts shared the other day:
In silence we can pause
To collect those things that might otherwise slip through our hands
Things that have brought us joy, hope and encouragement
Things that have brought light into our lives
The things that are to be truly treasured in life
In silence
As we pause
Let us reflect
Hold on to and remember
As we pause
Let us reflect
Hold on to and remember
Then give thanks for that which we have.
FS2 enjoying the outdoors
A great day at West Lodge Rural centre in the sun before half term. Learning
all about birds & animals, how they grow, feed and live. We also had lots
of fun eating our packed lunches, playing on the park area and riding on a bus.
And lots of fun outside as well in the sun this week.
